Michael joined Daley & Co in November 1983 having spent 14 years with Coopers & Lybrand (C & L) where he was principally engaged in audit assurance including a secondment to C & L’s computer audit division in Sydney. During those 14 years at C & L Michael also had a two year stint working solely on income tax.

Today Michael’s focus remains primarily on assurance where he oversees the growing number and range of assurance clients in the firm. He has extensive experience in a very broad range of clients including public companies. Specifically his present clients include a number of clients in the Club Industry, Trade Unions, Aged Care and Educational Organisations. He works closely with his clients and has an excellent professional relationship with the senior officers of those entities.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a member of the Forensic Accounting Special Interest Group and a Registered Income Tax Agent.

Michael is a keen sportsperson representing his town in surf lifesaving, tennis, cricket, rugby league and golf. He is a foundation member of his local Golf Club and Surf Lifesaving Club. He has been actively involved in Apex, many community organisations and has been a selected community representative on various Council Committees. In February 2006, he was awarded the winner of the Gilmore Sports Award for outstanding involvement in administration of a Sporting Club.
