Andrew Farina

 

A new addition to the team, Andrew started his accounting career at a boutique accounting firm in Sydney in May 2011 whilst completing his accounting degree, obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce from Wollongong University in December 2011. before going onto receive his membership with the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand in January 2015.

Born and bred in the Illawarra, it did not take long for Andrew to return back to his original roots, joining John Akele and the team in May 2016. Working to a senior position within the firm, Andrew has provided an array of services and advice to John’s long standing clients in all areas of accounting, specialising in Taxation and Business Services. Andrew has experience in assisting clients on a broad range of matters within these areas, including Income Tax, GST, CGT and Superannuation. With a real passion for computers, Andrew has strong knowledge of computing & bookkeeping systems, and has assisted clients, ranging from technical issues in software, to guiding them with technological changes in the tax landscape such as Single Touch Payroll.

Always active as a kid, you can still see Andrew walking, running, cycling and swimming on a regular basis, and like many others of Italian background, a burning passion for soccer and getting his hands dirty in the vegetable garden. Andrew’s passion for computers also extends out of work and where can spare time, he enjoys gaming and modding.
